A Guide To Selecting Your Size

Not only is the frame size different for a shorter woman but as the dress size increases the figure changes shape quite differently from a regular size. In my research with my focus group and calling on the vast experience of my pattern cutter (the person who translates my design into a pattern) and grader (the person who charts the growth of the pattern through the sizes) we have developed my petite / petite plus sizing. To order the right size please compare your measurements with the following charts.

To take your measure accurately you will need to stand in your underwear. It is essential that you are wearing a recently purchased, well fitting bra so that your bust is well supported and in the right position.
measure around your body over the fullest part of the bust.
to identify your waist, stand upright and bend slightly to one side. You will bend between the bottom of your rib cage and the top of your hipbone. This is your waist. Stand upright again and measure around your body at this point to give you your waist measurement.
Hip: measure around your hip circumference at the widest point.

The inside leg measurement of trousers is the length of the garment from the crutch, down the inside of the leg to the hem. You will need to take into consideration your heel height when deciding your trouser length requirements. Although it is my intention to ultimately produce trousers of different lengths it is not possible for me to do so at this stage. However, there is enough turning for my trousers to be lengthened as well as shortened in length.
